Product Feature: The RecPlate from Black Swamp Percussion

Today we have another awesome guest post from Tim Church at Black Swamp Percussion! We think it’s a very unique and versatile product that educators and performers should know about!

The BSP RecPlate may look dangerous, but don’t let it scare you away!  The unique shape was developed by extensive real-world use and consultation with performing percussionists.  The RecPlate attaches to an existing cymbal stand and includes the following accessories to help organize all your percussive fun stuff!

• Four reusable suspension lines for triangles
• Two 3/8″ knurled posts to mount woodblocks, cowbells or jam blocks
• Two velcro strips to hang almglocken
• Zipper case for storage

Hooked cut outs assist in hanging gongs, small tam tams or other corded instruments.  Additional holes and slots are useful for holding triangle beaters, mallets or even bass bows.

Only need a few crotales for a performance?  A crotale mount is sold separately, perfect for mounting four to five crotales at one time.

“Whether it’s new music or musical theatre work, my old solutions for mounting small instruments involved gaff tape, trips to the hardware store, and, too often, compromises. Now, my solution is to grab a MultiPlate. There’s no comparison.” – Bill Sallak / University of Wisconsin – Green Bay
